As sports buildings have become more modern, the need for better roofing materials for big stadiums has grown a lot. These huge structures need to look good, but they also have to work incredibly well in different types of weather. What’s more, for everything from Olympic stadiums to specialized commercial buildings like indoor skydiving venues, roofs have to last a long time. They also need to keep people safe and comfortable and use energy wisely.
Jieli is here to meet that need. Our company started in 1992 with a focus on creating new and better building materials. For decades, we have shown what we can do. For instance, we provided roofing for famous projects, such as the Flat Roof Reconstruction projects for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Summer Games and again for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
Large-span stadiums present unique challenges that demand specialized roofing systems.
Stadium roofs are huge. They have to cover a lot of space with very few supports. Because of this, the roofing material needs to be light. It also must have great tensile and load-bearing strength. This allows it to stretch over longer gaps between purlins without bending or breaking.
Roofs on stadiums face tough weather. They get hit with UV rays, strong winds, heavy rain, and changing temperatures. So, the roofing materials have to hold up against these things and not wear down over the years.
Today’s stadiums are famous landmarks. Their roofs need to match the building’s style. Besides that, they also need to do important jobs like insulating heat, cutting down on noise, and being very fire-resistant. And they should do all this with little upkeep.
Jieli is the only company in China with the patent for this technology. That makes us the only producer of our new Glass Fiber Reinforced UPVC roof sheets. This product is a big step up for stadium roofing.
Our Glass Fiber Reinforced UPVC roof sheet, likes T910 has a special design. It includes a layer of fiberglass mesh inside the main PVC/UPVC material. This unique, patented structure makes it much stronger mechanically. And it stays light, which is perfect for covering large areas.
The fiberglass mesh inside increases tensile strength by 30%. This also means you can have a 20% wider space between purlins than with regular UPVC sheets. It’s also 50% better at resisting impacts. Thus, it is a dependable option for places that get a lot of snow or strong winds.
PVC is naturally good at insulating against heat and sound. These features make our sheets a great fit for indoor stadiums. Climate control and keeping the audience comfortable are very important there.
It’s hard to set our UPVC roof sheets on fire. They also put themselves out. For this reason, they have a fire rating of B1 and meet tough global safety rules.
The T910 roofing sheet features a width of 910mm, an effective width of 840mm, and comes with thickness options of 2.0mm, 2.5mm, or 3.0mm. Custom lengths are available, with maximum lengths of up to 5.8m (20ft) for a 20ft container or 11.8m (40ft) for a 40ft container. This flexibility makes it suitable for various large-span roofing applications, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of building designs and structures.
Jieli’s fiberglass-reinforced UPVC sheets offer a suite of benefits tailored to the demanding environments of large-scale venues.
The PVC/UPVC material naturally fights off chemical corrosion. This makes our sheets a great choice for areas near the coast or in industrial zones where salt or chemicals in the air can be a problem.
An ASA film protects the surface, giving it amazing UV resistance. This film keeps the roof’s color looking bright for 8 to 10 years. In other words, it helps the stadium look good for a very long time.
Metal roofs can rust over time, but our material won’t. It’s totally rust-free. This keeps the structure sound, even in very humid places.
The fiberglass core makes the structure tougher. It can handle heavy snow loads or if equipment accidentally hits it during an event.
In indoor arenas, controlling the environment is key. Our sheets offer real benefits:
Our roofing has a very low thermal conductivity of just 0.325 w/m.k. That’s about 1/2000th the rate of steel sheets. This means it’s great at stopping heat from passing through. This is super important for making air conditioning systems more efficient and cutting energy bills during big events.
Our UPVC roof sheets are also great at blocking sound. They can cut down on outside noise, like heavy rain, by 25-30 dB. This reduces echoes inside. The result is a better sound experience for everyone at concerts and sports games.
You can count on our roofing for the long haul. This greatly cuts down on running costs over the life of the building.
We designed our roofing sheets to last a long time. They have a dependable service life of 25-30 years. This means you won’t have to replace them often.
The multi-layer design is very tough. It resists chemical damage, cracking, and bending even after being out in the elements for a long time.
Our sheets don’t need to be repainted. They also don’t need anti-rust treatments like metal roofs do. What’s more, this leads to much lower upkeep costs over the years.
Jieli provides custom solutions to fit any design idea.
We can customize the color, length, and thickness (from 1.5mm to 3.0mm). This gives architects complete freedom to bring their ideas to life without sacrificing quality.
These sheets work well for many different uses. You can use them for regular slanted roofs, tricky domes, wall coverings, and even ceilings inside arenas. Their excellent sound insulation and structural integrity have also made them a top choice for specialized commercial buildings, such as indoor skydiving venues, where controlling acoustics and ensuring safety are paramount.
We’ve built our good name on decades of new ideas and successful projects all over the world.
We follow international quality standards. For example, we have certifications including ISO 9001:2015 and UL standards.
We have 22 modern production lines. Because of this, we can deliver on time, even for the biggest construction projects.
We have a testing lab that is certified by the state. This shows that official groups trust our products. In fact, we were chosen for big government projects in Venezuela and Chile.

Q1: Why is fiberglass-reinforced UPVC superior to regular metal roofing for stadiums?
A: Our UPVC that has been reinforced with fiberglass is superior in a number of ways. It’s a much better insulator of heat—its thermal conductivity is roughly 1/2000th that of metal. It’s also excellent at absorbing sound, reducing noise by as much as 30 dB. Additionally, it’s totally resistant to corrosion and rust, boasts 50% greater impact strength, and has a B1 fire retardant rating. On top of all those things, it’s lighter than metal, making it ideal for use in large buildings.
Q2: How long does Jieli’s fiberglass-reinforced roofing last under extreme weather conditions?
A: We designed our roofing sheets to last for 25-30 years. They are coated with a special ASA coating that gives them excellent UV protection. This ensures that the color does not fade for 8-10 years, even if used in very sunny areas or in areas covered with thick snow.
Q3: Is it possible to customize these roofing sheets to suit intricate architectural designs?
A: Yes. Jieli enables you to define the color, thickness (ranging from 1.5mm to 3.0mm), and length. They are very flexible, so you can use them on roofs, ceilings, and walls. This gives architects all the design freedom that they need.
